Each baby under 6 months will sleep with a breathing monitor. This baby house has a milk kitchen, in which we clean and sterilise bottles as well as make-up milk formula or heat expressed breast milk. There is a dedicated baby house in which babies will be cared for until they are developmentally ready for the toddler stage. Classes have different play times to encourage "bubble" separation as another tool of ensuring children stay safe.ĭrop-off: Parents are asked to undergo a screening process on entry to the parking lot and your children will be screened at the entrance gate.

A lot of classes take place outside and outside play is free play. We also have desk visors in the classroom which are also used at nap time and classroom mats are checkerboard to encourage children to sit on a specific colour, subtely encouraging distancing for floor work. Adults will use alcohol sanitisers, however children use foam soap and water to wash their hands.
Staff will at all times be wearing a mask and teachers a visor for distanced reading and speaking as children need to see lips moving for speech development. Children under 6 are not required to wear masks, however we do have classroom Visors if there are mixed extra Murals and the option for Outdoor visors on outside hats. We have ensured that parent are all on a closed class Whatsapp group to share photos and informations as parents are not allowed on site during restriction levels. Through these unprecedented times we have all had to adapt and adjust how we operate to keep the children and staff at Rainbow Safe as well as parents and extended families at home. Rainbows are absolutely open hearted and unconditionally loving, highly sensitive, forgiving and magical. "Rainbow Children" are the generation of children after the Indigo and Crystals. Rainbow Babies and Kids Douglasdale opened in February 2021 on a beautiful, childfriendly propery this is designed for little people, with a beautiful, large playground. Rainbow Babies and Kids began in 2010 as a nursery school situated in the heart of Bryanston on 4000m2 of very secure and well kept grounds who are open full day from 7am to 17h30 and half day until 14h00.
